Course Duration: 4 Weeks
Prerequisite: Introduction to Office Management Certificate
This certificate will build on office policies and procedures regarding document management. Students will learn about document storage, versioning, logging and checking in/out procedures. Document security and security processes will also be discussed allowing students to understand governance strategy.
This course will prepare students for the ever-changing world of collaborative document sharing including developing an understanding of when and how to version documents, create document logs, and understand the different methods of sharing information. This course will also discuss information privacy and security processes that can be implemented within organizations to ensure data safety and compliance with the best strategies.
Finally, students will be exposed to the many different types of file formats, the advantages and disadvantages of each and how to convert file formats when required.
